This is my 750 th post. I'll have a quick look at that silver leaf before I have to shed it and grow wings here (sniff).

I'd like to use this opportunity to thank you all. Thank you for your kind advice, for your kind spirit, for giving me the feeling that people of all continents can have nice clean fun, no matter what their colour, religion or favorite bed position. Thank you for helping out to make this site the most fun modeling web space in the universe as we know it today. Today, there's 1179 users (for the record, this is 27 August, 2002).
I never met any of you, but I have the feeling I know some people like Jim, Rob, Ralph, Maki, Paulo, Toni, Jack, Danny, Penny, Gunnie, Anders, and the many people I just forgot (and whom I just deeply hurt by overlooking them, sorry for that) as good as many other friends. Sometimes I dream it would be nice if we could all sit together and have a beer (or a coke or a cup of tea for those who don't share spirits). Then again, the attraction of this virtual friendship may be in the fact that we never meet. It's like being close friends with someone of the opposite gender. No matter what happens after you sleep together, you may be a lot of things, but the friendship will never be the same again.
Now that are two references to sex in one post. I think it's time I turn the PC off and go to bed. Tomorrow is another day. I look forward to reading you all again tomorrow.

Just one more word to all of you .... thank you for being you !

I have seen you through 3 or so avatars now, and I think that amazingly through this thing we call electronic communications, I have gotten to know you, your work, and your life just enough to say without doubt... you are one cool dude!

I'm holding my cup of hot coffee high to ya! Kind words that express the feelings of all on this site. Too bad our politicians don't get along as well as we do. Yesterday I was in a deep melancoly when I got home due to the fact that everything is going into boxes and I can't start a model for another week or so. But thanks to Arawata, PAK40, Tin Can, Pipesmoker, Lambertjr and the other guys for joining in on an impromptu chat it cheered me up and I got a great nites sleep. Even ran 2 1/2 miles this morning. This site is excellent therapy for everyone. Thanks again Jan and to Jim for starting it all! :-)

You have echoed my sentiments. I have had the distinct pleasure in meeting 3 of the inhabitants of this Armorama sub-culture, Jim, Bryan(Tin_Can) and Rob(Sabot) and missed Ralph(ScreamingEagle) several times at AMPS earlier this year. After talking here and meeting in person, it is just like running into an old friend. It would be great to all get together and hoist a container of your beverage of choice. Hey General!

First off, congrats ont he promo! Being a young officer, I am sure I will join the higher ranks one of these days.

As for the beer, do not give an Irishman a chance! Unless there is an Ausi near-by. Of course, we can shimmy up to the bar and order a pitcher or two. But, being that I work for a brewer (Yoda, a 'real' brewery), I may be partial for my (American) beer!

It seems I missed the champagne somehow, but I hope I'm not too late to say congrats to you, Jan... Its the guys like you that make this site so special; always ready to help a fellow modeler and always ready for a laugh.

I just hope to get really rich someday, so I can organize a nice ArmoraManiacs party in... lets see... Bahamas, Hawaii or something like that. Couple of days in sun, enjoying cocktails and surfing... Yep, everything will be on me... Ah, I just hope to get stinking rich someday..
