Hi everyone, I just wanted to do a little update on my dio, it has been a few weeks so here goes

as you can see some insect life has made a home out of the diorama

Please if anyone has any ideas to rid myself of these pests feel free to share :-)

LOL Seriously the dio is at about 98% finished and I am getting ready to write up an SBS article on it and send all the pics to Slodder for submittion. Again all thoughts and comments welcome. Cheers Kevin

Seriously Bro i think its a nice touch in that wonderfull dio and waitingthe rest 2% to be finished so we have some nice on display feature on this !!!!!
Get to work and finish off !!!

Costas :-) :-)

Sweet, that kind of details lifts a dio from 95% to a clean 100% - I love discovering small details like that - superb!

It's small details like these that make dioramas stunning. The little butterfly adds a very beautiful touch to a very beautiful diorama.

If I were there, I would have sung "The Hills are alive with the sound of music......"

awesome detail and excellent addition to your dio.
what is next step; will you add a row of ants on the road carrying crumbs to their house?

Hi everyone, thanks for the comments guys they are really appreciated. Dave as for what the butterfly is made of its made of paper, I used pastels to color it. they were a hard thing to make for my tired eyes. After making mine a simpler solution came to mind, Paul (nato308) will be making sheets of perfectly printed butterflies available through St George Productions. Hope this helps Cheers Kevin

well thats getting tooo serious !!!
i ll have to call immidiately the Association of Wild life preserverance and protection and say that an armorama member is abusing butterflies , forcing them to be slaves to his ugly dios, with a lot of petrol fumes from all that armor there !!!!!

LOL

Kevin,

This dio just keeps getting better which is hard to believe since it seemed incredible already. Wonderful addition of details the more you look the more you see, very well done.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments and questions. The feedback really means a lot to me. i really appreciate it. To answer a few questions, Scott- I'm not sure how many pics there will be. i havent taken the final pics but so far its around 160mb of in progress shots. If you would pm me your snail mail addy I will get you off a cd. Gunny- all that is left is to finish the roof, windows and some furnishings for the second house so if I get time it will be done by this weekend. Frank-I am hoping the article and pics will be as good or better than the brave soulds dio. I am also glad you found interest in that one . GI Babycakes- The grass for the most part is heki wildgrass. It is amazing to work with and so easy to use as well. Cheers Kevin

Kevin, man your'e killing me with these fantastic details and the anticipation to see the whole dio too is murderous. First it was the figures, then the water then the daisies. A man can only take so much details.
