Very nice small package. The water is very well done, nice transition from ripples ot calm water.
Flesh tones are very nice and convincing, poses are good and work well together.
Great base and framing - I like it a lot.

Wow, nice work!!!
I like the whole package. It's a small and rather simple diorama, but it works just great and keeps pulling back your attention.
How deep is the water, and what did you use for it?
I'm guessing the rocks are stones you found in the garden?
What is the complete name of the diorama? ( I can only read the first words)

Very Cool!! I always wanted to do this one!
I am curious if this pic was a source of inspiration for you. I scanned it from one of my reference books.

Great job, I'm with the rest, the water is fantastic in both the way it flows and the slight murkyness
(is that a word?).
The figures are positioned well and look natural. The scene Works!
So what product did you use for the water?
keep-em coming

i have to agree about the murkiness of the water....it has depth but it is realistically not too clear. I also like the positioning of the boat and the ripples in the water...absolutely stunning. Am i correct or does that look 1/16 from the comparison to the people sitting behind the model in the pic? If so, what model set is that...or did you scratch it?
great dio...AWESOME!

Ditto on all the above comments. The stones really aid in the impression of depth in addition to the layered murky effect. Great stuff.

MagicBart, now that is an exelent one! The little frame tells us the whole story, no need for any further explanation, and that is called good composition! Like others, I loved the water and would like to learn what you used and how you made.
Oh, by the way, the first picture has quite a photographic talent, very good composed, exposed and the depth of field is excellent.
Regards.
Cagin.

Hello Everyone,
Thank you for your great comments, it is very appreciated.
The title of this dio is "Doucement.... nous approchons / Slowly.... we are approaching" (French/English)
The figurines and boat are from DML and is in 1/35 scale.
The small rocks are from Woodland Scenic. I like the rock from that compagny because they have a lot of holes in them so they look more natural.
The two big rocks in the water are from mother nature.
The water is made with a product called "Pour-on" from the compagny "Envirotex". It's a product use for protecting wood tables. It's Resine. I will try to find you more info this week on that product and I will post the full explanation of the way I made this.
The waves are made with a clear transparent acrylic gel using a small spoon.
The water is arount 1 inch depth.
bowjunkie35 : Great Photo !!! But no, everything was from my own imagination. I wish I had that photo before.
Graywolf: Concerning the german uniforms, I use a acrylic base color (a mix of 50%green and 50% grey for the coat) then I play with oils until I have the desire effect.
Thanks again for the great comments and if you have others questions ... do not hesitate..
I will write the full explanation this week
See you all.
