I know this post will probably start a small war, but, does anyone know if the Trumpeter releases of the JGSDF Type 82, 87 and Decon vehicles will be clones/copies of the to be released Pit Road ones or will they be reboxes?
TIA,
Dave S.

David, There are SOME rumors that Pit-Road are going to be marketed/reboxed by Trump, however, I have seen nothing to suggest that so far. In fact, only today, Hobby-Link Japan were listing ALL the new JGSDF vehicles under new releases from Pit-Road...
A curious coincidence, when Bronco announced their H38/39 series along with a similar announcement from Trumpeter, I also assumed the same thing. It now transpires that Bronco and Trumpeter are two seperate companies...JIm

I read about Pit-Road JGSDF kits (don't remember on which site) that they were joint developed with Trumpeter.
My guess is they will be released by Trumpeter under their brand for the foreign markets and Pit-Road in Asia.

The earlier Pit-road Type 89 ICV was developed in cooperatin with Trump, and marketed by them.
Olivier is right.

Thanks all!
I'm glad that they are joint ops. I had seen the Pit Road listings on HLJ and then heard about the Trumpeter ones. They look real nice. I can't wait for them to hit the shelves.

Here's a link to Pit-Road's site. They have some test-shot pics etc...
