Didn't Verlinden have one a few years ago? I remember seeing pics of one with a Vietnamese boy next to it and possibly another shot of one in the water.

i went ahead and looked at the verlinden web site and no water buffalos. anyone else have any ideas on where i can look?

As I recall a guy named Graf used to advertise in FSM magazine. He used to cast those buffaloes. I'm still kicking myself for not grabbing some.

I don't know where you can get a water buffalo but you could probably go to a toy store and buy one of those variety bags full of plastic farm animals. There has got to be something in there that can be converted into a water buffalo. Just a thought...

I'm sure I've seen them.
If you can't find them: there's a toy company that makes all kind of animals in hard plastic, for kids. They are very life-like. Maybe they have buffalo's (or at least cows) in the right size.
If all else fails, you can try a horse in 1/35 and a jar or model clay... The body can serve as a start... but that's for very advanced scratchbuilders !

something tells me someone could make alot of money making these things. now how close does a cow come towards looking like a water buffalo? maybe i can just do a little touch up and paint one.
