Backdating an M-35A1 to a Vietnam era M-35 is very simple. First, you need to replace the large front turn signal lights and the rear tail lights and back date them to the smaller vintage model as seen on an M-113 or other vehicles of the period. The rear lights can be seen on Gunnies sight under his build article of the guntruck "NANCY".

Second, the exhaust stack on the right side needs to be removed and the hole in the fender filled. The exhaust should be rerouted along the frame and come out in front of the rear wheels on the right side.
That is it. You now have an M35 A nothing truck as used in Vietnam.
