Hello Karl!
So far your TD is looking pretty good! About the headlight guard, I would worry not, they get broken and bent on the real ones to. Your paint job looks good, seems your all ready for the wear and weathering to be added on. Keep up the good work and keep us posted!

Tigeriv -
Looking super! Just got a M18 myself for an early Christmas from a friend. Thanks for the post as it gives me a great build to try and follow. As "Garrybeebe" said, I wouln't worry about "damage" as it adds to the overall effect. I've used that method of applying battle damage myself several times. I'm either getting better at it or just older I guess. Keep us posted,

As was suggested, they get bent and broken in service, but usually not snapped off in the middle and that might be what's making it look duff to you. I'd get some similar diameter solder and replace the broken piece, but do it as if it had been bent in service adn that will hide the fact that you busted off the plastic one. that would look quite reasonable when painted and scuffed up..while i was painting it i droped it and broke off the front cage on the headlight did not have a replacment, i think it spoils it a bit.
