I think this is one of the first threads we had here in 2001: Site Talk. We've come a long way in 3 years!

Only three years? This place has really made a name for itself if it's only been three years. I myself must have stumbled across it when it was only 1 1/2 years old, signed up at two years old, and formally because A Guard about 8 months ago.

I stumbled across this site via a link from another site (can't remember which one) and joined almost straight away in Jan 02. Now this is the first site I visit when online before any others.

PS a few beers for the 3rd birthday party

Hi Rob

I wish I'd been on board in the early days - I didn't find Armorama until much later... and then it was totally by chance, following the link on Accurate Miniatures site.

I love these occasional blasts from the past. I don't know how you track back to old pages , but I wish we could make them a regular feature, with a "this time * year(s) ago on Armorama..." etc. (a bit like music mags show the old top 10 from years gone by).

Multiple beers to Jim and all the original crew who helped create the Armorama we all know and cherish today!

All the best

Rowan

When you consider the models built, the help sought and given, the friendships forged, the support and kindness shown, and the bond (stronger than superglue) that exists, Jim has a lot to be proud of.
I'm proud to be a small part of this site. Thank you all for giving me that chance.
Here's to Jim and the whole, worldwide, Armorama crew.

I remember showing my first dio on Missing links, and Jim e-mailed me to say he would host it, as yahoo sucked for direct linking (somethings dont change). I was so happy and proud. I became a member shortly afterwards and have been a regular since. I have enjoyed getting to know a lot of people, alot of them have become friends.
The interesting part of the post Rob is most of those guys are still posting. Only one I dont recognise. I guess that says something in itself!
