Here is the diorama im working on at the moment. The overall product should be a diorama centered around the cathedral, set in the winter with 2 t-34s parked outside of it. Probably red army soldiers in winter cammo also. The church is pretty big, even though its in 1/72. Here are some pics of the overall structure. I'll post some more pics when i put the logs on.

Nice shape so far. Only one concern - thickness of the walls. It's hard to tell if they are too thick without a figure next to it.

By the way, did you base the cathedral's shape on pictures and if so could you tell us which city/town or region the original bldg is in? Better yet, could you post those pictures (if you relied on actual photos). Not sure I have come across the picture of an orthodox cathedral in Russia shaped exactly like this. Thanks!

Alright. I have the curch almost finished. The roof is on, i made the onion domes and put those on top with the towers, attached the logs (to the walls of the church), and then painted everything. Yeah, i do agree that the walls are pretty thick, but theres really nothing i can do about that at this stage. However, when i have the whole thing finished you wont be able to tell that it is so thick. I will post some pics when i get the chance to take them, hopefully with a better camera. The one i have is sadly no good for taking pictures of miniatures, that is why the pictures are in so much contrast, so the shape would show up better.

Looking good brother!

The logs on the sides, are these full logs or halves?

And one quick question before i move on, what is the best material to make doors and window shutters out of?
