Just bought a wire tray for storing cutlery/utensils from Target that I am using to store my Vallejo paints -- upside down. It accommodates a good number of bottles arranged two across.

The mesh at the bottom catches the caps and prevents the bottles from shifting/sliding around. I can also quickly tell which color is which by looking at the up-facing bottle bottoms. Just thought I would share this tip.
