Well there is not really much here but ....
after most of the ground work is already done i have sitted and dealed with the Beast , the T35, only five turret tank in production .
Well the ICm kit is not , the one that modeller wishes to have !!!!!
upper hull was totally warped as arch and i had to use hot water and heat blower to bring it back in a shape...not the perfect one of course .
Then the turrets but all of them have a really bad bad bad fitting and after assembling them i ll have to use some putty and lot of sanding to make them decent for showing .
The seperate link tracks eat me much much much time to cut and assemble and still i am not finished with it. but i believe that overcoming some obstacles i ll be more willing to proceed.
Finally i assembled the upper hull with lots of CA glue to tie it down to the lower body .
Thats for it guys , i hope soon u ll have more from this build which will be for sure adventures. So far is already a difficult one !!!!!!!

hi bro,
it can be a headache built because of the bad fit and tracks but it is a nice model to have in the diorama.
patience for the victory :-)

Caught you in time!
Don't fit the machine gun to the rear of the main turret, ICM cheated and re-cycled the turret from their T-28. T-35s didn't have an MG in that position.
Nice build struggling with a real beast. I gave up on my AER T-28 because it was such a pig...

Looks good. I battled with that one too. And barley survived
The main "deck" i guess you could call it, the top of the hull, in my kit was badly warped. The And the decals were unusable.
But still, t-35 is my favorite tank...
anyways, nice work

You are a better man than me to attack this kit. The tracks alone would have me surrendering. I am looking forward to seeing it finished.

Costas, Your T-35 is looking good, don't give up on it because I know you have put a lot of planning into this dio and we all would love to see it finished. Looking forward to more updates.

I recently bought the T-35 kit at a garage sale for 35.00 bucks. Guy told me if I got it off his hands he would include an ARMO aluminum barrel set, an EDUARDS PE set and a verlinden russian crew with it at no extra charge. GOT A GREAT DEAL !!.
But upon opening it, I saw the problems everyone else here has mentioned, sooooo, im gonna sit back and watch you pull the nails out of your toes and fingers before I go ahead with it.

well thanks a lot guys for your support . The kit has indeed many many problems. Most of the thin or small parts are broken , like ladders, antennas, mg's and the likes and i have to do microsurgery to bring them back alive .
Drader about the rear Mg i havent seen a pic of T35 with out it but i will search it further mnore. Thanks for telling me
I will keep on fighting guys . U ll see more

Costas
Last night I checked through a book I have on the T-35 and could only find one tank with the MG ball mount in the rear of the main turret. It was one of the conical turretted tanks.
Tanks with turrets like the ICM one did have an MG mount in the turret rear, but it was usually hidden by a vertical strip of steel. I guess this was swung out out of the way when the MG was needed.
Annoyingly, none of the pictures here get close enough to show the strip properly:

By the way, the T-35 book I have is the one in this review:

Hope this is some help.

Take a look at this picture of the rear of Kubinka's T-35, it's about the best view I could find online
http://www.thetankmaster.com/images/AFV/T35/t35_2.jpg
And also check some of the links in this thread

Had a look through 'Land Battleship' last night, trying to find where the fuel tank fillers were located. Not mentioned in the text, but it does show where the fuel tanks are, so I've got some idea where the filler caps should be.
One fuel tank is located just behind the rear MG turret, and the drawings in the book show a small hatch in the deck, underneath the rail stopping the gunner shooting up his own tank. The shape of the hatch is very like the filler cap cover on the T-34 so that's my guess for its location. Can't tell from the photo of the model whether the kit has that hatch.
The two main tanks were just behind the engine and either side of (maybe a bit more toward the front of the hull) the big cooling fan at the back of the hull. And either side of the grille over the fan is a square hatch. A photo of a destroyed T-35 in another book shows that there is a tube running downwards under each hatch, so I think that these are the fillers for the main tanks. They are unlikely to be radiator fillers as the radiators are further forward under the flat plates either side of the exhaust.
This is really a case where a picture is worth a thousand words, so if this doesn't make sense, let me know and I'll try again.
