Hi guys. Here is my latest. Unfortuantly these are the only pics I can get at the moment.
It's the Tamiyia kit with Fruil tracks, Edward photo etch on the outside and a scratch built interior. There is a light installed inside to help see the inside detail but unfortuantly my camera has a hard time focusing to capture it.
Comments are always wellcome.

Very nice .. very very nice actually. The weathering is perfect ... damp or wet looking. Love the little base... and the two are tied really well together. The use of metal on the ball mount and the fruils give a nice heavy look to this. I dont know if there should be zimmerit under the mud flaps??
A figure or two now, would make this a nice entry in any competition!

Looks really good... if you have a digital camera with an optical zoom, you can possibly get a "close-up" of the interior by backing up a bit and zooming in for a tighter shot. I know I'd really like to see more of the model, especially the interior

Monte -
Just plain outstanding. The look and feel you've achieved in detailing and weathering is terrific. Everything balances very well. A figure or two would look great though I can see why you might not want to detract from the build itself. Show us more great stuff!

Thanks guys.
I have more pics but when I try to load them in my gallery it tells me that they are too big.
Plastic, the "damp or wet" look that you are refering to ( I think) is actually metal showing through the paint. I tried to give some of the paint a worn look. As for the zimmerit under the mud flaps it would be there. Those flaps just bolt on to the side of the tank and easily fall off.
I have thought of adding a figure, most likly a GI as I want to give the impression of an abondoned vehicle.

Outstanding Sturmtiger Monte ! Your colors and weathering are dead on. Zimmerit looks fine to me. I really like the Friul tracks, they have that natural heavy sag to them. What I really like is that hoist for the rounds, that looks really good. I can only imagine how good the interior is !! Groundword looks great too. A figure or two would look cool, and I like your idea of the US GI.
You will have to bring this one to a Nordland meeting at some point in the future, or at send us some pics to be uploaded to the new site
Great work, and see you at the next meeting !
Cheers !!

Fine workmanship. The pistol ports are well done. Can you discuss the paints used and especially the weathering mix you applied?
thanks

Thanks DJ.
The paints were all Model Master. Dunklegelb, feldgrau and sienna if I remember correctly. I didn't use them straight from the bottle. I mixed some dark or light paints in to them to get different shades on different areas of the tank.
The weathering is done with paint pigments and pastel chalks.
As for the pistol ports, I drilled out the plugs that were molded on the side of the hull with a cone shaped drill bit. This left a tapered hole that matched the PE pistol port plugs that I had left over from another set. Both sides are drilled out and the plug that is in place has the connecting chain attached also.
Other scratch built interior details include an internal crane to move the shells, fully wired instrument panels, floor pedals and levers, detailed trasmission, piping conduit and wired fuse box.

More is coming down the line. I'm currently working on a 1/30 scale Panther. Lots of scratch building and custom work on this one.

SSgt, I would love to post more pics that I have but this confounded site tells me that my pics are too big. Either that or my knowledge of how to use it is too small!

WOW what a lovely thing!
Just like a real tank, and looks so realistic.
I love the weathering.
Nice camo pattern too
