does anyone have a picture of a maschine gun mounted in a kubelwagen? Or on which vehicles and in what year?

Hi Ian:
This link (at bottom of page) shows some decent pics of a schwimmwagen gun mount which should be very similar. It also shows both the mg34 & mg42 (1942 and on I believe) mounted.

thanks...but werent the kubelwagen machine guns mounted between the front and back seats?

yes, they were on the pole right behind the the drivers and passangers seat and inbetween. For my reenactment unit we had to tie the machine gun down or it could swing over and knock the driver out...

PS: the guy leaning on the kubelwagon is an actual 10th SS veteran. His name is Gerhard Franzky. I know him personally and have been to his house many times... Hes an extrordinary guy.

There is just a pole welded to the floor and the bar inbetween the driver and passanger seat. They dont put it in the back seat.

ohh...ic because thats how i imagined it to be welded to the ground...but in some pics of models there is a horizontal bar across both sides that it is welded to in a t shape. But the model looks really bad and i didnt think that was very accurate. Were they crew installed or were they a special version of kubels 82s
