I thin mine with regular old paint thinner, buck a gallon from my local hardware store. Shake the bottle very well so all the thick stuff at the bottom is in suspension and pour som in you color cup. Thin it to the consistency of water and fire away. As always, a few thin coats are better than a single tick one. thiis dries quite fast.
Remember, lots of ventilatio for this stuff.

Thank You for the reply, I will try it, will this have any effect on the weathering, as I used weathering powders with alcohol? (:-)

I use Dull Cote quite a bit on my models, straight from the rattle can. I know but it makes setup and clean up easier, I do most of my overall coats (ie base color) that way.
As to affecting your weathering, I don't know how the powders hold up as I use dry pastels, but you may get the opportunity to reapply your weathering. I do my weathering after applying the Dull Cote.

I don't use alcohol with my pastels, so I'm not sure how this will be affected. Straight pastels tend to get blown off by the airbrush. Try lowering your pressure and making very light passes.

You might be careful of the Dullcote and alcohal mix. I have had some white streaks because of that in the past.

Regardless of what has already been applied: enamels, acrylics, future, lacquer, oil based washes, water based washes, alcohol, as long as all coats have had adequate curing time (72 hours is best).the dullcoat will not interact with any previous coats. All solvents evaporate 100% from the film. The only thing left is pigment and binder. If a paint has strong solvents such as acetone or MEK, apply thin coats and no lifting should occur.
