Hey folks,
It's been a while since I've pestered you all. Here is my last model of the year and my first sherman. I was trying for a Ardennes Forest, 1944, Battle of the Bulge feel with the build. I know my camera work still stinks.

I think you need to fix that spill on the back. Can't tell from the photo if you are white washing the tank or trying to drybrush the tank. If it were me you did not apply enough white wash. If you were drybrushing then you applied too much paint while drybrushing.

Wow, Nice. I like the stowage on the back.
Your first model of the year? You have gotten to a late start
I think we need a new sherman build to start the year off with

I'm going to have to agree with Shermie on this one, nice effort but I can't tell if it's to much drybrushing with a wet brush or to glossy.
Might want to try and crop your photos so we can get a closer look, to insure we are being just.

Mikey! Long time no screen. How goes it?
I'll have to go with shermies here, just give your Sherm a tad more whitewashing to even it out. What'd you use for the whitewash?
Have you entered this one in 'Ardennes Offensive'? It fits all the criteria. Get crackin' boyo!- And let Brenda take the pictures. The shot of you in shorts came out frighteningly clear... :-)

Mike,
I think I know what you were/are trying to do with the whitewash (rough application, with concentrations remaining on horizontal surfaces), and I think adding a bit more to the sides, with downward streaking will get you there.
BTW, I recognize your callsign from the Battlefront Combat Mission board (my handle there is/was jgdpzr). You still active over there? I don't get over there much anymore because I've been in more of a modeling mode than wargaming mode lately (been in need of a computer update the past year, just now getting to where that is feasible). Miss the place, though. I need to stick my toes back in and see what Steve and Charles are up to these days.
