In our chat room talking to a fellow mbr thats leaving for the war soon...i thought, it sure would be nice if we had a forum where our saerving members on the frontlines could leave some input about whats going on...not a political thing, just like a letter home kind of thing... "The Front Line" , "Letters Home", ....keep us up to date on their activities...they could post pics of modern vehicles in action...dio ideas would flurish from these....weathering , equiptment stowage etc.etc.etc. and it would be an outlet for them and a connection to their global community here at Armorama.

And, we could check up on our fellow members doing their part in service defending our freedoms. These could be our members in any of the Forces there... U.S., British...ALL of em'....just a thought...

Nice thought.

Why wouldn't Soldier Stories work for that?

Not really....More like a "Messege from the Front" kind of thing....with pics of their vehicles and base camps and stuff ...even perhaps it's own gallery...just a way to check on our members that are serving "on the front lines"....and for them to offer some dio ideas and up to date "In Action" photos from the war...not on some base here Stateside or the Phillipines or Japan or Germany...but rather, THE FRONT LINES of the WAR...in Iraq, Afghanistan etc..Not serving on a military base defending the homeland in Alabama, California or Michigan...but our members, doing their jobs in the line of fire.

Get it?

Not taking away from our soldiers serving proudy at the other bases...fighting the morning rush hour traffic as they go to their jobs on the local bases...(i'm making a funny kind of remark here...if you could see me you would see a slight raising of my eyebrows at this moment) but the members actually on the front lines of the War. Did I make myself clear? I'm trying real hard not to get in trouble here. (:-)

I like the idea, and with 6000 users and about 700 regulars the forum is getting so big it gets hard to find information at times. So to stick stories from the front in with another group it is likely they would get lost. in the mist of other threads.
