Hi, this would be a common question but can't find the right answer yet so...
I'm not since long doing scalemodeling as a mayor hobby but now i got the feeling and the strength to do it
I was doing it for long time but not good and mostly once a year some thing and then it kept dusting in my room, now I'm trying to professionalize it and got most stuff i need to make a nice model.
Most i do are WWII stuff and also planes, actually thats what i want to do for more
I'm building the horch1a 4x4 from tamiya, so its almost finished, only the roof/or cabrio has to be done, some more details and the decals, also weathering has been done for the most, i think it will be good for my first concentrated model.
Ok enough of this whining the questions are :
I use mostly Humbrol paintings for my models, I was wandering what colors (name and number) I have to use for the triplecamo from the driver's uniform
I think its these 2 but need one more :
116 - Matt US-Dark Green (= field grey Tamiya xf65)
160 - German Camo Red Brown(= red-brown Tam XF64)
so I need one other color,
I was thinking of :
111 - German grey (=RLM grey Tam XF22)
or
94 - Sand
or
29 - Dark Earth
or
26 - Camouflage Snow
I don't know what other color they use.
Also I want to know if they used the machine gun and opened roof in colder areas, just like if you would use it in africa theme, but now I want to use it in some stalingrad-like area, at least european-scandinavian area.
Because I think you don't se a thing of the car and the inside when the roof is on...
I also use the dragon stalingrad german soldiersset (witch im painting atm now too). And more will come until i got the right combination of sets

From what you've written so far, I'd say your third colour needs to be a light green, it sounds like you are describing a "spring" pattern smock. From what I remember of this kit (I've made it 3 times!) I think there are pictures showing the driver on the box. Sorry, I've no idea about paint numbers, I'm not sure that there is one in Humbrol for the colour you need, you may need to mix it.
The base colour would be the tan/brown, then the dark green & light green over the top. An alternative (especially if you want the model in a winter) setting would be the reverse of the smock in a fall/autumn pattern, which has a grey/brown base, with chocolate brown and orange/yellow overprint. The trousers would be field grey.
Hope this helps a bit.

I guess so I don't know it anymore, i like the colorcombination of the first you said, but i want to make it in an cold environment :s
Ah well I'll make the second one then,
redbrown (german camocolor) as base color,
sand color as first one
and brown mixed with black for the second one.
would that be a good combination to look like the right one ?
