Hi again guy`s, i thought i would share with you my first stages of weathering this late war JP. As you can see the green has been toned down cosiderably by the weathering!..I always start with a quite light base coat, which is always darkened with my coarse of finishing!..Thanks for all the previous comments, will answer all in full all your questions when build finished

Haven't seen the previous photos. I like the washes on this - very convincing and done in the right areas.
I imagine you will be putting on some dark brown weathering of sorts on the final?

Andy
I have been following your build threads on the Jag----good work here, especially your paint/weathering techniques.
Perhaps you would be interested in sharing your painting/weathering techniques in an article here at Armorama. A step by step write up on your painting and weathering techniques would make for some interesting reading here at the site. Just a suggestion for you to consider
In the meantime, please keep us posted on the progress of your build, and congrats on a fine looking Jag.

Hi Steve, thanks for looking and your kind words and thank-you for the offer, sounds great!..Will take you up on that!!..As for my previous post, saying that i would be posting more pics in a couple of days. Well there may be a delay! , unfortunately the Fruil tracks that i already had built, from a previous project that never got finished , are in my opinion not as good quality as the WW2 Production resin tracks that i have managed to get hold of .Although a fare amount of cleaning up is required. The thing is 90% of all the guide horns in the fruil ones are full of white metal , and have proved very difficult to remove without destroying the horn . Anyone else experienced this, or have i just had a bad set?. I never noticed this until they were built. Also i noticed that the fruil ones are a very bad fit around the Artisan Mori sprockets!! where as the ww2 ones are an excellent fit.... :-) .
Thanks again guy`s

I don't know how Jagdpather Fruils compare to Tiger I Early Fruils but I encountered no unexpected problems. Just used a shirt pin the ream out the holes (most were really clean to begin with) and the wire fit right in.

Hi Alan, no the track pin location was fine!, its the guide horns that are difficult to clean as there is quite a build up in there!!..
Cheers
Andy..
ps all the other fruils i have used seem to be fine!
