Hello all, last night i've been inspired and did this:

There are more pics in my armorama gallery.
Ofc, much more work left to do, make the floor, rubble inside and outside, dust all with pastels... and re-do the figure since its an old one i had in spare box.

Its supposed to be american sniper somewhere in France or something...

all comments/suggestions/critics are most welcome

Cool little V.
Lots of potential. I would offer that you make sure his right knee is solidly on something. It looks to be 1/2 on the board.
The rifle looks a bit skinny. I know this is nothing of your doing, the mold is weak. If you have a different weapon I'd switch.

So far so good Mirko, I like the stone appearance with the slight battle scars, well done. Not sure at this point, is this a winter scene, or is the glass "fogged" up for a different reason?
This looks like a fun build , you've inspired me!

(:-)

Slodder : Well, actually i havent finished the floor, so far i added two layers of wood, that third plate he is on is just there for photos, that layer will be plaster.
The rifle is from Tamiya weapon set, i dont think i have another sniper arround... i have plenty of rifles but thats the only sniper.

Slug: The glass is my only mistake so far, it fogged becouse of super glue i used to glue the window, dont think ill make a winter scene, or maybe i will with just a little snow here and there and LOTS of dust everywhere, including window to cover the mistake.

and actually, it is a fun project, it took me 2 hours work to get this far... i think 4-5 more hours and its done.

As a Sniper myself, I like the idea. Something you might want to think about though, we (Snipers) don't get right up in the window. Presents too much of a siloette for other shooters. By staying back away from the window, it conceals the muzzle flash and the shooters location to those on the ground. Other than that, it looks good. "Q"

Looking good Mirko......though I would agree with Matthew maybe have him a little more away from the window.

Wow mate looking good ! i would agree with slodder
about the skinny rifle and maybe it would be refreshing to see a winter scene out of this ?
and would hide the chlorosis on the glass
or you could change the glass for a new peice ?
but very well done mate 2 hours worth of inspiration and a master peice is born! looking forward to seeing more of this !

actually i decided to replace the rifle for a M1 Garand Sniper ( a friend has one to spare ) and a little snow will be present on the scene, i managed to clean the glass a bit with alcohol, so a "cold freezing" scene is about to happen

Thanks for your reply steeldog51

very nice vignette Mirko. wall and window looks good but i agree on Scoot about the rifle and i would change the position of sniper due to what a real sniper (Matthew) told.maybe placing him in a oblique position near the window to keep himself being a clear target to other snipers is a very good idea.

That will really help - again it has nothing to do with your ability, just Tamiya's

well thats a nice start Mirko over the vigniette .
Above whats allready said i d had to comment some about the window glass

At first it has a rather cloudy look which i dont know if could be justified as dirt. At second i see at least 3 bullet holes which i think could have been enough to crash most of the glass in pieces and dont leave so much of it on the window
An d third if i see correctly there is a snall bend on the glass at the points where the lower bullet holes are , which probably is caused by some heating u used to make the bullet holes.? If i see right i think that is not acceptable on a glass window

Its just details but since a vigniette is a small item , notice on details will be hard , so take some care over them. I bet this will end nicely . I expect some progress soon

Well here it is, i talked to Engin and some other folks on MSNM and decided to change some things, last night i made totaly new floor, managed to clear the "glass" a bit, and decided to do a cold (snow) scene so the window will be like frozen. And i will cut another larger hole instead of one bullet hole on the bottom, since im considering in moving the sniper on the left side of the window, so he has more cover from the wall.

beside that i switched the rifle for M1 Garand sniper and decided to scribe the bricks on side of the wall also. Ill post some progress pics soon.

Do not overly worry about the windows. Many things cloud or fog windows.... dust, smoke, frost.

Looks great keep up the good work...

Would makeaa greatAlone against all Odds Campaign entry if you can et down by December 31st ...?

Nice work!
