I just bought Legend K1A1 full kit. Unfortunately, it doesn't mention paint brand and colors. Trumpeter K1A1 brochure mentions Tamiya colors, but it dries too quickly and cause problem for me, since I paint somewhat slow. I prefer Humbrol and would be willing to try other brand if its quality is good and right color for that tank. Please, let me know what brand and colors is the best. Thanks.
Happy Holidays,

Alot of the reason behind Tamiya paints drying quickly is dependent on what you are thinning them with.
I have tried everything from tap water, to distilled water, alchohol, to wind sheild washing fluid, to mixtures of all of the above, and the paint would dry too fast....sometimes it was OK, but there was no consistancy.
That is until I broke down and bought Tamiya's thinner, and now I will never look back. I can paint with their paint now for literally hours and it won't clog my airbrush, and I have an Aztek which are notorious for clogging.
As well, with the Tamiya thinner you will find that it will lay the Tamiya paint down much smoother than with other thinners. I don't know what is in it to make it do what it does, and I was once skeptical due to the price of it compared to other cheaper methods, but my paint has never looked better, and I don't have the aggrivation anymore about the paint drying or clogging in the airbrush anymore.
For a few dollars more, its well worth the investment, try it, I am sure you will like it!!!!!

Vipers,
Thanks for the advice. I'll try to paint the kit with Tamiya brand.
