Hello guys
i just bought some Mig pigments...cost me 8 bucks per bottle!!!
anyway, i would like to have a rusty look in the tank tracks...do i :
1) apply the pigments dry, on the tracks THEN use a seperate wet paintbrush and brush it over the pigmented tracks
or
2) Mix the pigments and water FIRST then apply them to the tracks?
thanks!

What i do it mix the pigments with medic alcohol, or water&dishwash soap, alcohol is better becouse he vapourises (dries faster) , if you dont like the look, just use the same "thiner" (ec water, alcohol) to wash all of so you can repeat the process.

Danny, although I usually use ground up pastels, I am using up some MIg pigments I bought to try out. I air brush the tracks Tamiya Nato black and then just scrub in dry pigment with an old brush, try it....I think you'll like the results.

hi Sensei, so basically...what you did was to MIX the pigment and solution first THEN apply it on the tank?
and hi Vinnie, thanks for the tip! i'd try that out!

Yes, exactly, but thats not a must to do, sometimes i just use dry pigments, or mix them with little thinned enamel paint, and i heard for at least few more ways... every modeler has its own favourite method
