Someting mind me since few days.
In the reality this axis is coverd by a kind of mask:



but when you open your box you find that :


So I've modeled it in resin to obtain a piece more accurate with this kind of mask on it !


and fit it in the hull:


Now I can start painting it !

I don't know if that part is accurate or not but you did a helluva job recreating it. Looks fantastic!

Looks good Pierre.
I have found that in other kits also.....I can't see anyone leaving a spinning shaft uncovered passing through the fighting compartment........ I maybe be wrong, but common sense would dictate some sort of safety cover. I honestly think the safety cover would only be removed for maintenance on the drive shaft.
