Finished up the Academy Viet Nam M-113 a while ago, kinda waited until I also finished up my emtry into the Remeber Korea campaign before photographing and adding the pics to my gallery. My entry into the Bucket Bonanza is a "Nam version of the famed M-1113. I'm eventually going to put it in a diorama whcich is why no crew or accessories with it. If someone would be so kind as to put the picture in this posting that would be wonderful, otherwise check it out in my gallery and while you are there, you can view some of my other offerings

Hi,
good job on this bucket. However are you sure of the color of the inner face of the roof hatch ?
Did you use the kit tracks or AM ones ?
Cheers and Happy new year 2005

G'day Steve
looks good mate, always nice to see a Nam model.
bison, yeah the interior colour is correct, they were often painted different shades, and usually had a green tint to it, but thats still a fine color for the interior.
cheers guys

Steve,
Your model looks really good! Colors are spot on and weathering is very realistic. But...
...You made a small (or not so small - I leave it to you to decide) mistake - you installed the suspension arms incorrectly. You made the whole vehicle sit too high. On the back of each suspension arm is a small round hole and on the hull part are small pins. These pins are supposed to go inside holes in suspension arms this way setting them in the correct position. When in this position the top of each road wheel should be at about the same hight as the top of idler wheel. As you can see in your model road wheels are significantly lower. My guess is that you put suspension arms under these pins, instead on them.
Don't feel bad about it - I've seen models with this mistake even here on Armorama before, so this seems to be quite common error among modelers building Academy kit. Actually there was a very heated discussion about it in Rivet Review Board in July 2003 when 19Delta made the same mistake in his Fitter model. Back then I was called names for pointing this error, but in the end everyone admitted that I was right...
