I have a couple of Tamiya paints that seem to be running low on the protective liquid. It is that liquid you find filling the paint jar all the way to the top. Did that make sense? Can anyone tell me if there is a way to re-fill it. Could I just use paint thinner?

Thanks

I have had some luck adding thinner to Model Master enamels when they get like that. Sometimes, though, they seem to be too gooey for the thinner method to work. Then they are garbage

You can use Tamiya's thinner, since it is made for the paint. I wouldn't use regular thinner for enamel paints since Tamiya is acrylic.

Just so you guys don't think I'm stupid, I was just saying that it worked for me with enamels so I thought it would work with acrylics as well. Like Rob said, use the Tamiya thinner and it should work fine, unless it's all coagulated and goopey, but I don't know if that happens with acrylics like it does with enamels.
