I'm quite confused with its version also. I've got one and based on my poor knowledge, I think the inside of the box is the A1 version. I found some differences with AFV Club as below :
1. Idler Wheel, S's use the same wheel of the road wheel. A's is smaller size.
2. A's Drive Sproket and Idler Wheel use the lighten weight type which have holes on it. S's is solid.
3. S's 50 cal. machine gun is located at the left size of commander hatch but A's right.
4. S's turret is a little fatter than A's. Some one in Taiwan said that A's a little thin after they measured the real tank.
5. S's Mantlet Waterproof Clothes is included. However, A's said that they will release it very soon.
I happened met the kits creator, Mr. Do, when I bought this kits. He introduced me some parts which he proud of. One is Mantlet Waterproof Clothes another is Track Links. Both the two parts are made of rubber but not the usual rubber. The Mantlet Clothes can be melt by liquid cement, he recommanded we can simply use the cement to remove the mold seam line instead of file it with sand paper. The Track Links thought it's in one piece, but it has no any sink hole and seam line on it. It's soft and relative heavy, therefore it will lay on and self fit to the return wheel to create effect.
Mr. Do revealed that this version is limitted production major for Europe Market. He is going to modify the mold into the final mass production version. According to the parts which he planning to change, the new version should be the same version with AFV Club. That mean this version is going to OOP since the mold is no longer exist. Another informations from him is : Skybow will using photo eche material for some tiny parts on their M42 kits. Before their M52 and M42 released, of course new version of M41 will be available first, then the long waiting Vietnam Era M37 3/4 ton truck. The M37 is scheduled to be released before Chinese Luner New Year (Before end of Feb. 2003). He is adding M60 machine gun on the truck now since he like the view and feel it should have.
Some one might noticed that Skybow's WC51 is different with Italeri's at the cargo bed. Mr. Do explained Skybow's is the wooden bed version, the Italeri's is the steel version. Something like the Tamiya's CCKW353 with Italeri's and Heller's. Wooden version is the later and improved version of WC51 which released at the end of WWII. I think and suggested him that he should point and show out more information in their assembly instruction of kits. How do you guys think ?

Very well post tedward,
But I feel he must put the things more clearly as possible, if you look by the box art and name you'll see it as a A3 (same as AFV Club) and in their site is a place for a coming A1 version, that was my doubt.

Interesting post - I read the same over at ML. However, I'm disappointed because I thought it would be nice to have different versions of the Walker BullDog - not two of the same mark! Oh well, at least there are now two modern kits of the BullDog to choose from...
