I have some questions.
How big were german propaganda posters in ww2,
and how big I have to make them in 1/35.

Thanks in advance,

Greetz Rob!

i think its verlinden that makes a set, if so you could go to their site and make measurements, i'm guessing about....3/4 in, by 1 inch. but i've never tried it

rob, i was thinking, and it doesnt have to be exact measurements, if you were to make your own that is. just look at the size of a regular poster and compare it to your body, usually its about as long as your torso...and a little wider.

if you were to buy them instead of making them, it wouldnt be a bad purchase

Probably 1" by 2/3" assuming about 36" by 24" for the originals, I would bet that there were various sizes used during the war

Scale is relative, I have found them in all shapes and sizes. Some were even printed in smaller formats. In general the size would have been 1"x3/4". Some were much smaller equivelant to like an 11"x17".

It is 2,54cm, and usually taken as 2,5 cm.

Check out the DIN (Deutsche Industrie Norm = german industrie norm) measurements of paper sizes here:
http://www.zdv.uni-mainz.de/449.html

I guess you all know the DIN-A4 as standard size for letter-paper.
Although the DIN-norms didnt exist during that time the size of bigger poster should be near to DIN-A3 up to DIN-A1 (dont wonder - the smaller the number is the bigger the measurements are)
To get the size for 1/35 simply divide through 35...
