Just a quick note to thank everyone who is taking advantage of your Community Forums. I know some people have concerns that it leads to less posting on the main site, but I can promise you it does not. It's a growth thing.

In fact where we have done poorly in getting new members to join/post are the same countries that are slow to use this feature. So all you guys from Germany, Italy, Spain, China, Japan, and elsewhere....start a topic in your community forum and get some happening!

The Top Ten Communities (# is total topics created)

453 Philippines (okay they had a HUGE headstart)
77 United Kingdom (a small head-start)
68 Turkey / Türkçe
62 Malaysia
51 Canada
45 United States (doh! okay I know....states)
35 Denmark (whoo hoo! go Danes!)
31 France
15 Portugal
11 Greece / Ελλάδα
11 Poland

Cheers,
Jim

It sure is. You can also quickly access any community homepage by selecting it via the country pulldown (above right) and clicking go. Your default country should be listed automatically.

Hi Jim, I must admit being quite doubtfull about the country-sections, but we (the migthy Wikings :-) ) have put some effort in getting it going, and wohooo, it seems to work with a growing number of menbers and posts.

Now we just need a Wiking smilie

Ask...and you shall receive.

Yes Jan I could not help but chuckle a bit when I saw how your group took off. Who knows someday a Armorama in Danish?

Cheers,
Jim

Thanks for the Jim.

Let me try that again yep I like it.

When we start a new topic in our community forum, is it important that we chose language or is it just for the "Topic language count" in the site statistics?

It will still show up in the community forum but if someone does a "search topics by language" it won't show up. So there is a plus to designating the topic with the correct language.

Plus I am weary of fixing them.
