Hi All,
I've seen pics of the new Stryker wheeled vehicle with railing type anti RPG armour attached to it.
My question is; have M113 type vehicles ever been fitted with this or is the add on for the A3 version different. (A pic link would be nice)!

The bar type armor was first tested on M113 during the Vietnam War, but was never introduced to service. I've heard a rumor recently that a number of M113s in Iraq will soon be equipped with this type of armor, but I'm not sure if it is true.

The standard add-on armor set for M113A3 is completely different. It looks like this:
