This is my first attempt to build a Sherman variant (actually my first ever Sherman).
I need nitpicks and suggestions before I start to paint....below are some pics

Nice work so far on the Firefly, you're off to a good start. I have just a few suggestions for you. First remember to put the undercuts in the driver and co-driver bulges and the Coax MG should be set back a bit more only about 1mm of the barrle should be visible in this scale. Keep up the great work.
Cheers,
Bryan

I see you put in a lot more details than just OOTB. Looks good. The turret tiedown hooks and the periscope guards look great.

Is this the new DML Firefly or os it the older one? I know with the new one I had fit problems with the turret in the bustle bin area. It looks like yours has nowhere the gap mine had, about 1-2mm on each side that required filling and sanding.

Bryan, hmmm...sorry but what do you mean by undercuts? I don't even know where to start --- sorry I'm not very adept yet regarding allied armor...this is actually my very very first. Are you refering to the MG at the mantlet(?)...do you mean I should cut it?
Alan, I did scratch some of the components...AM parts are very limited here...The hardest that I did was the mounting bracket in the last pic....

This is the new one (DML 6182). I already filled and sanded the gap you were refering to...
Andy, hmmm those are not rags :-), they are masking tapes...I used them to temporarily stick the bogeys to the hull... I need to check the drive sprocket distance against the roller at the top of the bogeys (don't know what its called)...
BTW, I've got a few more ....
1) Should I raise the weld seams or just leave it as is?
2) I'm a bit confused on what track end connectors to use, the regular or those with the duckbill extensions.
Thanks guys

LOL thanks Arvin..........My imagination was getting a way on me.
About the tracks. I like the look of the tracks with the duckbill connectors.

Hoi,
Nice tank you've build there, but one thing there is a large gap on the front of the tank, or is that just me?
That is the only point I see.
Keep going like this.

Hi Arvin,
Here is a picture of my FF VC for you to see the undercuts in the bulges and the MG in the Mantlet (coax). I hope this helps. Also I did redo all the welds in mine with styrene rod and liquid glue. I think it helps the kit tremendously. Keep up the good work.
Cheres,
Bryan

Hilbert, there is really a gap in front...one of the parts dropped inside while I took photos.
Bryan,
Thanks, all your inputs are very helpful....
Andy,
I'll probably also go with the duckbills....
Cheers
