General Jeff,

It's a mighty fine looking model, by the way, how many model you plan to put into this project you are building, because I saw from your album there are tons of armors, Are you building one huge Dio? It will be so cool!

It looks good, Jeff. I think you got the colour right and the rust is well done. Did you use Instant Rust or your own paint method?

I've only used it once, Dave. I just asked, because if I remember, it was Jeff that told me about the Instant Rust. In my opinion, it's good stuff

Thanks Folgore and SS-74. This is my first model in about 7 years or so painting not including dinos. Instant rust which I know I applied to much a lighter coat would of been better, well Iearned a lot and next one will be faster and better
Thanks again

Looking good, Jeff.

Wish I could see more of the interior, though. Photo tip: shoot photos in the shade on real sunny days. Also: Try popping a flash in there to fill in the shadows.

What are your plans for the tracks and running gear? Making the kit parts fit each other, or do you have a secret?

Jeff--Those new pics are a lot better. Personally, I don't think that rust looks out of place on that type of exhaust. If it were like that on the thin King Tiger ones, it would be a little funny, but with those it looks good. I think it's probably best to keep the coats as thin as possible, though, so you don't lose any detail or have it appear overscale. I also found with my first attempt that using thin coats kept the rust a rather dark brown, better for exhausts. Keep experimenting with that Instant Rust stuff, it has potential (but no, I'm not obsessed ).

Jeff,

You did a superb job on the SU-76. I'm sorry that I'm chiming in a little late, but somehow I missed this thread until now. The only suggestion that I would make to you is to tone down the markings some with a wash or by overspraying them. They look too bright for the tank unless they are supposed to have been recently applied. I don't think that the exhaust has been overdone. That was really cheap metal that rusted quickly so I think it looks good.

Good Job.
