Congrats Dave on finishing the M8. Its looking much better than I thought it would.. in fact really nice. Glad I bought it now! Just the inspiration I needed, to look forward to building it!
I missed the thread when I was away over christmas! How did you find the kit? Did you have to join two lengths of track for the each side? How did you do this. I had vinyl tracks and swapped them away, intending to buy indy links instead! I searched your post and saw it only took 13-14 hours to finish .. fit must have been OK then. Any comments would be appreciated as I will be tackling this soon myself. Cheers!

Frank, apart from the hull/roadwheel/supsension assembly the rest goes together ok. All of the first part needs some care as the instructions are geared towards the earlier motorised version. I set up the suspension to work as in the instructions and then when the tracks were in place glued it solid.
I used the Airwaves brass set, but not all of this fits that well so selective use is recommended. I didn't superdetail my model as I believe others may be planning, hence the quick build.
The tracks are the AFV Club set for the M41, and about 1 1/4 sets are used each side, plus 4 links to replace the moulded spares on the cab roof. This track can be glued together with liquid poly, so it's easy to "cut'n'shut" by just gluing the ends together, then to the wheels.
