Hi gang! This is Dragons Night fighting Panther G w/o the infa red stuff. Zimmerite is made from Milliput putty and the pattern stamped in with tools from Zimm-It-Rite. It's not too dirty yet and I haven't put any unit numbers or Divisional insignia on it as I haven't decided which ones I want or what setting I'm putting it in. Questions/comments??

Real nice Jesse! I like the camouflage, the zimmerit...well the whole thing! Good job!

Are you going to put it on a diorama (I love dio's myself, just not so good in building them haha)

Greetings from the Netherlands!

Thanks for the comments, Martin. Yes, I'm going to put it in a diorama, just havne't figured out yet what I want to do. Either a Battle of the Bulge theme or something at the end of the war.

Hi Jesse ...Very nice job, looks like a real clean build ..I have one of these kits in my stach I should hope it comes out half as nice ...Your Zimmerit look great ,only thing is that by the time these late panthers showed up they weren't using it anymore..but hey it looks way to good to be bothered with that. Great job ,now weather the (you know what )out of it ! Keep the pictures coming.

Hi Rick. Thanks for the good words. I did find a couple of pictures of a late Panther with Zimm. That's what made me do it. I'll try to find them again and post them for everyone.

I think I know which pictures you are talking about ..The Panther in the museum at Munster... Not an original finish (WWII era). I'd love to be wrong about this but ..I've never seen a picture of one from WWII.
Like I said.. looks awesome either way.

Didn't Panther which survived the battles in 1944 still have their old zimmerit in 1945 (e.g. in the tank battles in Germany) ?

I used my Paashe airbrush. It was only the second time I've tried the three tone camo. I was pretty happy with it too. Thanks fo rthe compliment!

Great looking Panther Ausf G !! Love that Ambush Pattern

Zimmerit looks excellent, and I like how you chipped it in some areas.

Pioniere tools look good as well. I hope you plan to show some wear and tear on the tow shackles.

Look like you may have had a fit issue with the tracks and the Drive Sprockets.

Otherwise, your Panther is looking good to go, esp before weathering !!

Keep up the great work, and send us some more pics as you get closer to finishing !!

Cheers !!

I'll echo everyone else's compliments - it looks very nicely done. Tight, neat, and clean construction. Great painting and zimmerit addition. After looking at a Panther A under restoration this past weekend, your model goes a long way to creating the impression the real Panther does when you see one in person.

Thanks for the kind words Alpen. Yeah, I didn't notice the fit problems on the fromt sprocket until after I posted the pics. It was tight when I first put it on, but I guess it settled and got pushed up when I put it down to dry. Oh well, I'll either redo it or hide it in some rubble/snow/mud or something! Once I get it dirtied up and some unit markings on it, I'll post some more pictures. Thanks to everyone for the nice comments. After seeing all the fantastic work posted here on Armorama, I just try to come close to how good everyone else does!

Jesse :-)
