I've had mixed success with DML. Some of their kits drive me nuts. This one was a real joy to build. I think the dust maybe overdone. I used artist's pastels. The photo may not be the greatest, I just got a digital camera and I'm still learning. By the way, this is the first photo I've ever posted on the web. Some of you are real pros at it but for me this a giant leap forward. Anyway. all comments are welcome.

Cob

Hello Rob,
Let me be the first to say, Wonderful Job! I think it looks very nice, very nice indeed. I do not think the weathering was overdone. It looks like a tank should look, dirty and used. But that's my opinion. You should be proud of a job well done! Congrats!! Maybe I will start mine sometime soon.
Walter

Rob
Congrats on your first pic posting
The T34 looks great, dusty/dirty, a tad worn---just like WW2 Russian armor should look, (in my opinion) The tow cable seems to be bowed up off the vehicle in the pic, -- maybe you can get that to lay down---but other than that little nit, this is a great looking model!
Very very good effort --- any more pics of it available?????
Steve

Very nice job COB. Can we see more please? The weathering is a bit heavy but it looks good with soviet armor always. I think you have done a really good job here. You make me want to build mine right now.

I will take some more (better) shots in the next day or so and post them. I agree that the tow cable needs to lie flatter. Thanks for the feedback

Excellent work!
Only 3 things i dont like
You "glued" the barrel? on your pic it looks like "sealed" into one position and not able to move up/down?
and you shoulda replace the MG, use medical needle to make a better one :-)
Also, some battle damage would be nice, on front and sides....
othervise, a nice dusty & rusty model ;-)
cheers
Mirko

NO, absolutely not.
I like it, just the way a russian tank should look like!
I like the tracks especialy, the look nice and dirty.
The headlights are fabulous.

Excellent work on your T-34/76 M1940 ! I think the weathering is perfect.
As for the comment on the gun mantle, I will have to agree there. Maybe its only the photo, but it does look like you glued it in a fixed position.
Other then that, great T-34/76 M1940 !!
Cheers !!

Here's another shot. I took a look and those of you who said the mantlet looked glued were right! For the life of me I can't remember why I did that.
v/r,
Cob
P.S. I'm having a little trouble resizing my photos. I need to do a little research.

Pretty good T34 you have there. I think someone pointed out earlier that a tank with that much weathering should probably show a little more wear and damage. Just a few sublte things like bent fenders or dents on the edges.
