Wife says my Hunnicutt Armored Car book is in. Of course, I'll have to wait a while until I can go get it. Anyone got their's yet?

....and LAV Mortar Carrier.

Rob, are you in any kind of a position to verify the accuracy of the kit's M252? I have this kit as well, but I have my doubts on the mortar provided. It is a semi-far-cry from the Firing Line offering.

As a side note, the LAV-AT built up really good... typical Italeri, and I had a good time with that version.

Thanks,

I ordered mine through Barnes and Noble.com (www.bn.com). It was $66.50 and if you order 2 or more books, shipping is free. I let my wife order a couple of books to make her feel like I didn't spend too much.

I saw the book today at the local B&N. What a beautiful book! They wanted $95.00 for it in the store, so I am going to order mine on line. Folks, this is one awsome book. Rob, if I had one waiting at home I would be catching a hop. Do they do that in the Army?

The Hunnicutt book was well worth the wait...M-8 Greyhounds, LAVs, Hummers, even DUKWs! There is also some info on the Stryker systems and the IBCT vehicles (but not alot of detail on the interim vehicles). Scratchbuilders can have some real fun with the photos of prewar vehicles.

I preordered from Amazon on 31 March...with an expected publishing date of 6-8 April... but like I said, well worth the wait!

Thanks Jeff. In the AF 1st Sgt (yep, we call 'em First Shirt) can be any NCO rank. I never held that job, most Medics don't . I was an Independant Medical Tech. We go to small and remote sites and play Dr for a yr at a time. Best job in the AF.
