I´ve been planning a street fightening diorama long ago.
And I thought about a basement, but only under ONE hous...
Do you have any idea how I could do that, without I must every hous put up only for one cellar

my question: How can I show only ONE basement, without I "have to trenching" the complete ground of the diorama?

first of all,i think you would have to build up your base and keep the basement scene to the front.then you can build the rest of the diorama around it not showing any others.it could be to the left ,right or in the centre.it's a great idea .

What you can do is a "cutout dio", with the ground elevated several centimeters above the frame. That way, you can represent a basement on the front.
i once saw a dio using that technique to show german soldiers running in the sewers and russian soldiers on the surface... it was great !

Ha, I´ve found the answer of this problem:
The house with the cellar is standing on a hill...the village is near some mountains, so it´s possible. The village I´m living in looks similar! :-)
