A few weeks back whilst getting ready to fetch my mother-in-law aka ‘The Battleaxe’, I was in a right mood, an undetermined wait at the airport (last time it was almost 5 hours), plus spending another week with the dear, was not a pleasing prospect.
In any case my whinge was, loosing time painting one of my 1/72 scale and figure builds. The wife (very fed up) asked what I wanted to take with and I promptly set out my needs / items. She took a look at the goods and marched off, later she produced a plastic ‘Cadbury Fingers’ box, upon opening it everything was neatly packed and accounted for, even a cloth, some pegs and a clamp to hold the project for painting.
I now refer to ‘it’ as my Mobile Paint box. Knowing that I am not the only one to have problems moving small amounts of painting requirements, your opinions?

Looks like a good idea there........ The key seems to be Ease of clean-up or slow drying oils........

Briliant. Very handy.
So what does your "Mobile paint box" for your 1/16 scale look like?

See photo below. :-)
Have even been inspired to use an old footlocker / metal trunk for the 1:1 scale paints and rollers for the house renovations, will post a photo when it’s sorted and done!
Minus the clamp to hold the project unsurprisingly! :-)

I have a mobile box for when I go to work. There is usually a lot of down time so I threw 1 together myself a few months ago. It works great although I'm a 1/35 guy so I usually wind up bringing the model box as well. All in all it works awesome.

It's always good to include the other Half.
I have been using fishing tacle boxs from a local super store. Top compartment is all paints and assembly tool and the bottom is usualy the larger tools and the current model / figure that I'm working on.

Great idea! Nice little paintshop there, Eric!
I only have one question. Where can I find a wife like that?

Women are good like that as they do that alot especially with their make up kit.
I stuff my paints and things into a tool box. I partly like it that way because its more musculine to look at a tool box than make up size box.
