Hi guys,

About 30 min ago, my sisters' boyfriend entered my room. He said he had a surprise for me....

Well he sure had. His mother found this box while cleaning up the house:

The box is filled with paints from Humbrol, Revell and Model Masters, and it also includes thinners, paint brushes, a pincet, and all sorts of handy stuff....

Of course I'm very happy with it. The paint is a little old, but I think it's still very usefull...

But as I do not have any experience with MM at all and as I do not have experience with using Humbrol with my airbrush, this present raised some questions:

1 - In what ration should I thin MM and Humbrol, and can I use the MM thinner for humbrol (as they're both enamel)

2 - Are humbrol and MM actually good airbrush paints?

3 - With which other paints shouldn't I combine the MM/Humbrol paints (I know only about tamiya)

4 - Can I use white spirit (terpetine) to thin Humbrol/MM

5 - Does anyone have anything to say I should know before using these paints?

Well, that's about it.....hmmm I like these kind of surprises haha :-)

Greetings from the Netherlands!

Martin

you should be ok using Humbrol in your A/b just remeber to give the paint a very good stir also as it's stood you may have to add a little thinner to stop it glooping up again

I use MM enamels and acrylics in my airbrush all the time. In fact, they are my main paints.

And in what ration and with what do you thin the enamels? I have MM thinner in the box....

Put one or two small ball bearings in your paintjar and swirl them round inbetween spray strokes to keep the paint well mixed.

Hoi Martinnnn,

I doe altijd een of twee kogellager balletjes in het verf potje dat je onder je AB hangt. Als je dat dan tussen de stroken door heen en weer schud, blijft de verf better gemengd.

Groeten
Henk
