Making progress slow but sure. Still a long way to go, I'll start cutting lines in the shingles, it was alot easier to glue strips of balsa to the roof and cut the keys in rather than make individual shingles and glue them on one at a time which is what I first started doing. I'll be placing a raised beer garden next to the terrace and all will sit on a raised bank next to a river. Currently I plan on a Sept.-Nov. 1944 pre Bulge scene somewhere ner the Belguim border. The pics are in my member gallery.

Still up in the air as to pre Bulge or post and occupied by U.S. forces. Also basically as a size reference.

I don't like the courtains...that colour was out of fashion in 1890 already...
:-) :-) Just joking! That is a very beautifull build and I'll keep those pics as a reference because I'm thinking of building a 72nd building or at least the front part, like a destroyed building...
Keep up the good work!

Excellent.. Really catches the shape and feel of a German house/pub. The wood work and the stone arches are wonderful. can't wait to see this one finished, that beer garden next to the river sounds good.. .
Keep those pic's coming

Well done, the layout of the building looks very good. The little details such as the hinges on the doors add greatly to the work.
Once again nice job

This is really cool.
So you did this update (almost the whole building) in less than 2 weeks that's awesome.
I wish I could built buildings that beautiful.
Greetz Rob!

Hi Kevin, thanks, the curains on the front dormer window are printable rugs from a doll house site. I cut them out and folded them like an accordian . The windows on the terrace - the same with no fold I don't like those and I'm going to make them stained glass. Thanks again Kevin, now I'm off to work to freeze my butt off bye.

Hi Cheyenne. the house looks amazing ... the detail and the whole architecture of it, is very eye-catching.
Although it may have been more work, the results would have better as well. Tiles are not always 100% straight on old houses .. and thats a nice detail also. After all the work and energy invested so far, this is a short-cut that I hope you wont regret!

Thanks Frank finally someone from me mothers motherland. Never fear I overlapped the strips of balsa enough to cut the keys and cut different lengths to the shingles, it should look like something me granda roofed on a couple wee bottles of good Irish whiskey. I'll have that done for the next update pics, my moms so happy and amazed that someone from Ireland commented on my work. She thought it was a waste of time till I showed her your post!
