Wjhilst on the topic of unusual softskins the Army has been using the Supacat for a number of years, mainly by the Para units Ithink theres even a version with the 82mm mortar on board,

Cool deal, Davy! Saw this wee beastie in MMiR or Mil Modeling a couple of years back & though it'd make for a fun build. Someone out there makes a 6x6 civilian that may make a good start, but fiding the right tyres would be a bugger...
And Holycow! I'd no Idea they were that powerful! Towing the piece & all the ammo- gives many of the larger carriers a run for the money. Though I personally preferred my nice spacious HMMWV to stretch out in on the rare nights it was allowed. Looks like these'd make hash of your kidneys in short order!
