Well there were a few delays (mostly me) but I have finally tallied the results for judged part of the contest as well as drawn the random results for the book prizes. For those interested I went with a very high tech approach on the random drawing. I typed out the entry titles (not user names) in Word, printed it out, cut them up into strips, and had my wife pull them out of a bowl! We thought about having our 2 year old daughter Emily do the honors but figured she would pull out more than one at a time. As it was she got one of the non-winning entry slips and colored on it with crayon.

I want to thank everyone who contributed articles and reviews to this contest. I know many of you didn't do it for the prizes and I appreciate that even more. I may do next years contest a little differently, as this was obviously a learning experience, but all in all it turned out great.

Here is the page that lists all the winners.

Cheers,
Jim

I'd like to echo Eric's comments. Thanks for the votes and congragulations to all the winners. I think a special thank-you goes out to all the participants for supporting this great site.

A big thank-you also goes out to those who donated and/or supplied the kits/books for the contest.

I'd like to propose that those who won kits write-up articles on the construction of the kit so that we can 'give-back' to ArmoramA. I know I will.

Good work everyone, and thanks for those of you who enjoyed my article.

Jim, what were the stats for the contest? i.e. how many entries, how many in each category, how many contestants (some entered more than once). It's too bad we had minimal participation in some categories, the next one will probably have a flux of Fine Molds Star Wars kits in it!

A right place for a quote:
"First, I would like to thank myself. And thanks to the jury."
-Aki Kaurismäki when receiving the Jury Prize at Cannes festival for his film "Man Without A Past"

Thanks to all the participants and fellow winners! Keep the great articles coming, contest or not!!!

Congrats to all who won!
A job well done to all those who submitted content!
And a friendly, "Wake up and do something!" to those of us who planned to write up an article but didn't get it done!

OK, no one make fun of me...after reading Paulo's comment, I checked to see what I actually won. I guess I had just assumed it was one of those signed books (a nice prize in itself). I see I won a Tiger tank, and a Tamiya one at that. Too cool.

Paulo,
Please email the address to me at [email protected] as it will be easier for me to put them all together later and send on to the folks who are shipping out the books.

Rob,
We had 30 article entries and about the same number of review entries. As to the number in each: Aircraft (5), Armor(15), Dioramas(6),Figures(2), Warships(1), and Spacecraft(1).

Thanks,
Jim

Bob,
I am very sorry for the delays in shipping out prizes. As I have posted on several other topics I am having difficulty with getting the Shep Paine book and some of the kit prizes sent from the parties responsible for their fulfillment.

If this isn't cleared up by December 15 I am going to have to attempt to fulfill all them myself no matter the additional costs involved.

Again, sorry for the delay.

Jim
