Here it is....just wanted to get a few opinions on the Camo.....I think it looks good.....but according to Tamiya's instructions (I take em with a grain of salt) gives Ambush scheme for the Ardennes KTs. But I'm not sure I want to mess up my camo (my first soon to be finished paint job in about 2.5 years) What do you think. Keep in mind it still needs decals, some wash/dry brushing, and a couple of the grab handles replaced (and the pics are kinda grainy, I lowered the quality to keep the size(kb) down).... Thanks in advance.

Thats a nice job you have done there Jason, like you said take Tamyias instructions with a grain of salt not all bulge K.T.'s wore the ambush colour many had the triple scheme, I would only worry if i was doind a particular tank thats documented. nice model.

Jejack2 -
Great looking King Tiger. "Easy_Co" is right that not all KT in Ardennes were "ambush scheme". There are a couple good "threads" on the KT's camo in both Armor and Campaigns Forums you can check out that will help. I'm doing the Tamiya "Ardennes Front" King Tiger for "AGE 2" and plan on staying with "3-colour" scheme much like yours, which by the way is very well done. I'm doing a Panther G for "Ardennes" and have much the same dilema and then of course you have the "zimmerit" question though like the KTs, most of the Panther Gs didn't have "zimmerit" in Battle of Bulge. Again, "Easy_Co" is right that unless you're doing a specific vehicle, you'll probably be fine. Anxious to see more,

You really don't have to do an Ambush Scheme as I told someone else this week 332 was a soft edge camo with out spots and I'm sure some of the 506th KT's didn't have spots either but they might need zimmerit as they were for the September prodution batch.

Looks very nice. As was stated by the others, I wouldn't worry about the ambush scheme unless it was on a specific tank you are modeling from a photo. The ambush scheme looks great, but I don't think it was as common as a basic three color scheme. I see more of the three color schemes in photos than ambush.

Rich ...You have to watch out for this kind of statement because by the time of the Ardennes Campaign German vehicles were being painted in the factories and not by the crews anymore , So if an Abteilung was all refitted at the same time well most would have paint schemes very similar to each other and if one had the Ambush scheme you could say most of them would have it...With the 501SS what happened is they received a few tanks just before the attack that were supposed to go to the 509 th That is why you see a few without the Ambush scheme and a few with the soft edge camo as compared to most the have the hard edge camo with the spots... Same thing with the 506th KT's some were replacement vehicles while others still had their zimmerit.
