trumpeters kit ? it looks every bit as good as tamiya's offering
with equally nice cast texture to the turret ,looking forward to this mate

That's a smoking kit! Has anyone ever orderd from ent-mart.com? They have the Trumpeter IS-3 kit for $9.99! Of course there is S&H from Hong Kong:

Ive often seen some nice kits in HK stores(online of course) and wondered how shipping handles up to North America.

Tapper, you should have no problems with buying from HK at all. Firstly the prices are spectacular, secondly, the service is excellent. If you aren't in a hurry, choose the surface mail option. It's not too slow and is very cheap. My personal favorite is LuckyModel.com...Jim

Looks like an excellent kit. I have heard about the salt chip method, and I have seen a few finished models, with excellent results, but I have never seen salt chipping in progress. I will follow this build with great interest.

These pics are of the first 'wash' - Burnt umber, black and yellow ochre oils were used..... I'm trying to time this so I can start the first filters (dry-brush highlights)tomorrow and the first pin washes on sunday... Jim
