Hi all,
The campaign will almost start (25-01), do you have any idea's already? Have you ordered your models already?
I had a rather large project in my head but I've got to skip it because I can never finish it in time. I've now decided to make a smaller dio (actually more like a vignette) with some civils and a british jeep. The subject will be the hunger winter in the Netherlands.
Ordered models till now are custom diorama and nemrod civilians (1 man and a woman with a child). I still have to decide which models I'll use for the brits.
So how about you? Ready to go?
Greetings

Still brainstorming in my head but I have a few ideas that might be simple enough to build, given the number of campaigns I over-extended myself the next several months. It will more than likely involve (drumroll please- tada).... a Sherman!

As you don't live in Europe, which country's liberation do you want to use as subject?
Oh and I'd love to see another shermie from you :-)

Im still floatin' around ideas in my head. Most likely ill do something w/ the US Army or Army Airborne. Maybe something along the lines of a German General Surrendering to the US Airborne as in Band of Brothers.
Any suggestions would be great.

true true :-)
well the US army was in south east Holland in 1944, were they liberated a small part of Holland, but that was in 1944 before market garden, so still far away from VE day!

I believe the rules were altered to represent any country's liberation as long as it represented joy and happiness just like VE day

I have a Bren Carrier which I will use for this, beiing greeted by jubilant Dutch civilians. Not sure yet as to the setting, I'm temted to go for the west of the country, but only if I find suitable figures.
Does anybody have a good link with regards to the Princes Irene Brigade, as all I found was very inconclusive and brief.
Cheers
Henk
