The new ITALERI ' s kit is ( as usual ? ! ) a little disappointin'...!
They ' ve modeled it as, one more time ( see the LVT4...! ), a post-war thingy...!
Numerous little slits adorn the hull ( it was used to keep the water out of the " U " shaped bars welded to the hull to make it more rigid ), but they forgot the tire inflation hose details to make a true post-war DUKW....To bad !
May be do you ' ve any reference of WW2 DUKW with these slits....?
Detail ' s a little bit on the soft side, driver' s place need definitely some improvements, but that' s all you ' ll get for your 20 bucks...!
Time to be back to the workbench, folks......
Have a nice day !

Hey Mike!
At least you can get your hands on one. Us North American folks are still waiting.
Maybe this month we'll see it here, I hope. Anyone heard?

I got tired of waiting and purchased one from Blast Models in France. It should arrive any day now...

Dave,
You know that I've started too many kits now. The Panzer I must giveway to others. Oh, I am not a rich man, you are the one who took 4 Panzers yesterday.
By the way, how is your Panzer I? Started to build it?

Dave,
How's the trip?
Will you start to build it tomorrow?
Maybe I will wait UML to sell the DUKW and the 1/9 US WWII motorbike cause I will get 10% discount.

I will tell you the trip in chat or by PM, let's just say that in China wonders never ceased....
I will start to tackle it tomorrow, or at least getting the tracks started...
Waiting for UML is a good idea.... Maybe I can buy for you with my credit card, so this way, I can get the point accumulated then we can get the Platinum card...

Dave,
Sure, you came accross some wonders in China? You'd better tell me in details.
Yep, you may get the points faster to get the platium card. You live by UML, it's a piece of cake to go in and check it for me everyday...

Hey, Gunny, last time I was at Pfeiffer ' s models shop ( BLAST Models ), DUKWs were stacked up the ceiling...Yours ' s probably on the way !
If you want an .50 MG M36 mounted truck, you could use Tamiya GMC Accessory parts Set ( MM 35231 )....
By the way, if you need something I could find more easily, here in Paris, just drop me a mail....!
