So far I've painted the inside of the cab and the engine. No problems at all so far, really surprised at the quality of these Skybow kits, which cannot be faulted. The .50 cal is amazing! Everything goes together like a dream! The only slightly annoying thing I found was the Jerry cans, or rather the holders. They are similar to the ones in the Tamiya US halftrack series. I looked for a sheet of PE holders like the Eduard ones at a show I went to today but no luck. Davy McLean was with me and he suggested making one out of thick foil. A great idea I'll use next time, since I managed to find one in the spares box. Next up I'll basecoat the entire model in Tamiya Nato Black after first of course masking off the cab and engine. Any suggestions are welcome, as your thoughts are on whether or not I should use the tilt?

I believe it is Accurate Armour that makes a set of US jerry can holders in photo etched.

Vinnie, Looking great is that the Academy 50 cal? if so I told you it was the dogs danglies! . If your goiong to use the tilt I'd drill some holes and feed some twine throught it and make some lash down hooks out of ally foil or similar it's the only thing lacking IMO on the kit

Davy, no it's the .50 cal that came with the kit! I've got .50 cals coming out of my ears! I bought 4 of the ones on offer from AA, then those Academy ones at Bolton, only to find brilliant ones with the Skybow kits! I agree about the tarp, I think I'll be leaving it off. It's all a bit straight along the bottom edge. Shame really, as everything else with this kit is fantastic!

Carl, I've read a review somewhere that says the spare wheel is a bugger to fit, and a few people have mentioned it to me on Armorama, though mine seems to have loads of room? It's placed on with a blob of blu-tac at the moment for pics, before I paint.
