Hello Friends,
I want to show you first pictures of my newest diorama, which I am creating now. It displays soldiers from SS Panzer Division Viking in Szekesfehervar (Hungary) in winter 1945. It's finished in around 45%, but I hope it will be interesting for you just now.
Best regards
Pawel Krasicki

I think thats the least you could say. Amazing figure painting . (I recognise some of the figures from your earlier installment.) The Layout is so natural its uncanny. The snow on the car bottom, is as good as Ive seen. Please keep posting your in-progress. As Mr. graywolf has stated ... this should be a feature when finished. Nice one ... and keep posting your progress shots!

Pawel

Beautiful in progress work here. The fig painting is excellent, as is the work done on the car. Good stuff!

As an Armorama Content Scout, I would ask, (and hope), that you would consider doing an article for the site, on the techniques you use to produce work of this calibre. If you are interested, please send me a pm and we can discuss.

Thanks and please keep us posted as you move through this dio.

Good work so far, as already mentioned, the pose and painting of the figures is impressive. The snowed appearance of the car really gives those of us who like to build winter scenes a push forward, I would assume that it will be blende into the diorama, but I would add snow/ice to the roof( especialy around the roof rack), but other than that it look excellent.

Is that Panther one of those experimental "Sledge Panthers" the Germans fielded in the snow?? :-)
(sorry, couldn't resist)

Looking forward to the rest, and yes, it does look like it will merit a "feature" when finished.

Cheers
Henk

Very nicely layed out I agree with PB on that. Really natural.
The ice and snow on the car is well done.

One thing I would offer that I have seen in the figure side.. If it's very cold you may want to add a touch of rosey color to the figures as if thier faces are cold.

Can't wait to see more.

Really impressive work so far Pawel. I agree with the other comments regarding the superb figures and car. Could you tell us the source for your cobblestone road?

Thank You very much for Your opinions!
The snow is baking soda mixed with water and whiteglue and also soda straight from the package glued on sprayglue. The park wall is from Royal Model.
I will snow the car roof when the luggage will added on the roof rack. I want also put the straw cold protecting mat on the engine hood.
Thank you again
Pawel

faboulous!!!

and a question: How cold is it there in Hungary in winter 1945??? I ask this because you have 2 figures sitting on the tank.

From personal experience, under extreme cold winter conditions steel armour can be so cold and transfers heat (and cold) so fast to your body (whatever cloaths you are wearing) that you really don't want to sit on it. Except on the spot directly above the engine, of course.

I think you've got a right of course, but for me the most important think in diorama is a composition, except serious nonsenses of course. I don't know what temperature was there in this period, but for sure it was not the Russian winter with -40 C. There are many pictures from winter period with soldiers sitting in the front of the tank, maybe they have frozen asses
These figures are made of plastic and they don't feel any cold :-)

The snow on the front of the car reminds me of the snow storm we just dug out from around here

This scene looks amazing Pavka. I won't repeat whats been said. The layout is nicely put together , with the smokers waiting for the bosses to make a decision, it great!. I do agree with drabslab about sitting on the cold steel, but it fits the scene so well, maybe they could sit on an old coat or somthing? Anyway looking forward to the finished dio.

Your work never ceases to amaze me. I love the way you compose your dio and the attention you give to details.

I love the dio and I can't wait to see it finished. I wish I could make something as good as yours.
