FYI - two more In-Box style- then the REAL fun begins - the "Built" reviews start!!!!

So - to all reading - stay tuned - same Bat WebSite, same Bat Forum (for all those old US TV buffs out there )

Thanks for all the positive feedback. It helps that these are all rock solid products.

Good review Scott! I agree the brick work looks nice and will be much nicer painted.

My point in writing is more of a question. How common in Europe is an open smoke stack like this?

Its not something that I ever took notice of before, but I imagine a chimney stack with the flu-liner (chimney pot) on top, or more pots, as chimneys often catered for more than one fireplace. A big open stack like this would only fill with rain or snow, or let a draft in. I havent a clue when they were introduced and am not nit-picking the item on review, ........ just wondering. Its possible the stack could be limited to a certain point in time, or older US log cabin type buildings.

Frank good point - I'm not totally sure either.
What that may lend itself to is more of a cottage/country house type of building maybe?
You're right definitely a US cabin.

I did some more research and found some more examples of where this product could be used.

Check out the new 4 images.
