As far as I know, only staff members can get their own avaters...
I'd love to have my own though!

I personally think it would be a grand idea to have the opportunity to upload images for personal avatars, as long as discretion is practised and nothing offending was submitted...I don't know how much more work this would be to Jim, but it's a worthy query!

Top right corner of the page - there is "help" button next to "contact us" and "seach". Then click User Support / General Questions.

Can I have a custom Avatar image?
Registerd users who are active members and have more than 200 posts in the forum may request a custom avatar. Use the contact us form and remember to include the location of your avatar. Avatars are added at the discretion of site management. Custom avatars should mix well with our existing avatars, not be actual photos of you or others, and cannot feature animation. There are NO exceptions to this rule unless you are a staff member.
