That really depends on what the ditch is for.
Is it an irrigation ditch?
Is it a drainage ditch?
Is it a ditch for cover such as in WWI trench warfare?
It also depends on the dirt. Is it hard packed clay, soft earth, frozen ground, dry, wet....

Ditch behind my house:
Some more ditches in the area behind my house...typical Dutch!
And another typical Dutch setting:
If you mean this type of ditch, the one with the water in it, and you want photo's of Dutch ditches, I maybe can make some better photo's for you...
Greetings from the Netherlands!
Martin

Nice pictures Martinnn, they almost make me feel homesick.. . Must be great for ice skating in the winter when the 'ice rink' runs behind your garden. :-)
But what about the midges in the summer??
Ik hoop dat je niet teveel last van muggen hebt in de zomer..
Groeten
Henk
