how do u guy make this kind of grass(ignore the longer ones)? short but standing? i doubt it is planting into holes

Yes Leopold, here in Brazil we have a fiber it´s used to make ropes, the name of this fiber (here in Brazil) is sisal.
If you cut this fiber in small pieces maybe you approach to static grass...

excellent idea, its called the same in the states, go out and buy a certain length of sisel rope and just unwind it till you only get fibers

no not really but it does tear into little fibers like sisel, hemp is usually used for making those necklaces, sisel rope is used for lashing stuff together.

Here in Sweden, you can by loose sisal fibres at florist shops. I think it's used for decorating flowers and plants...
A bag costs around 3€, and that would last for about 1000 dios of widespread grassy fields. :-)

Games Workshop do static grass, they have stors all over the world.
